Justice was served today in Hunt County

Tonight we can sleep. Justice has been served. The DA handling this case did an awesome job and we all thank him. In court today Judge Beacom sentenced James Brown to 60 years in TDC for the murder of Avis Baker Brown. My Mother and I testified in court about the kind of person Avis was. James's family testified that he was very loving and such a good person. They claimed they never saw any violence towards Avis or the children bah bah bah and how he was now right with God. James, his attorney and family were asking the Judge to give James probation because he was sober now and right with God. They lied threw their teeth. So while his family was saying James was wonderful and loves his children, the judge was not being effected by their testimony. He sentenced James Brown to 60 years in TDC for the murder of Avis Baker Brown. He will not come up for parole until he has served 30 years. So listen up men! Here in Hunt County, if you beat and abuse your women and children you will pay. You will pay with a chunk of your life being spent in prison. If you kill the women or children in Hunt County you will spend the majority of the rest of your life in prison for that crime. Hunt County will not tolerate women and children being abused. You will not get away with it. At some point you will be caught and arrested. At long last Avis can now rest in peace. Her children can grow up safe from their father's abuse. And we can all try to finish living our lives the best we can. I hope that those who are in the lives of Avis's children will keep Avis's memory alive for Starr, Jimmmy III and Ali, who was named Alicia after me. Thank you Judge Beacom and thank you DA Alton.
